Bruce Garlick, Affiliated Attorney with Garlick, Harrison, & Markison

As founder and a managing partner of Garlick, Harrison & Markison, Bruce E. Garlick’s practice has focused on representing clients in the procurement and enforcement of patents; providing technical and legal assistance in patent infringement litigation matters; and providing legal counseling services.  Garlick’s technical areas of practice include wired and wireless communication systems, control systems, digital signal processing, dry process semiconductor manufacturing equipment, transistor formation in semiconductor manufacture processes, various computer software areas, various circuit design areas, and well logging.  Garlick is also experienced at procurement of copyrights and trademarks; protection of trade secrets; licensing negotiations and executions; infringement and validity studies.

Prior to practicing law, Garlick was a chief engineer performing statewide power stability analysis and coordinating ERCOT system analysis for load rejection studies of the South Texas Nuclear Project. He was responsible for modifications to the LCRA supervisory control and data acquisition system; and for the control of the LCRA utility grid.  Garlick holds his law degree from University of Texas Austin, and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering and Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Purdue
